Section 16 Reference Book
Introduction
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 1997 (as amended) requires the publication of two Manuals by public bodies. The Section 15 Manual titled "Guide to the Functions of and Records Held by the Department" contains a breakdown, by Administrative Division, of the internal structures and organisation of the Department of Agriculture and Food as follows:
- a description of the role and structure of each Division
- the schemes operated and services provided by the Division
- the type of information available in the Division
- an indication of the classes of records held by the Division
Summary of Section 16 Manual
The Section 16 Manual supplements the Section 15 publication by summarising, by Administrative Division, the rules, procedures, practices, guidelines and interpretations that are used in relation to any statutory enactment or scheme administered by this Department.
